Lewis Silkin

Office Launch

Brief

Lewis Silkin has an in-house marketing team that organises a programme of regular seminars and events. However, when they opened new offices in Oxford, in-house resource were stretched. The brief was to provide creative and professional support to deliver a launch reception within a tight budget and time limit.

Solution

Restricted by the venue’s rules on lighting, music and room adornments, we had to be creative and speedy to turn round a dull registration area into a convivial reception space. Working with the firm’s strong corporate colours, we dressed the grey pillars in maypole ribbons, added palm trees and uplighters to soften the edges. We commissioned a centrepiece ice sculpture of an “Oxen” to welcome the office to the City.

Result

This example is to show that not all events are large, complicated or expensive. The added value Events Plus brought to this project was an ability to slot in seamlessly with the inhouse team, to provide professional advice for reliable suppliers and imaginative input.
